DoD Identifies Marine Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Juan Calderon Jr., 26, of Weslaco, Texas, died Aug. 2 due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expaditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
