DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Pfc. Brandon R. Sapp, 21, of Lake Worth, Fla., died August 15 in Najaf, Iraq, when his M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. Sapp was assigned to the Armys 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

The incident is under investigation.
