General Officer Announcement

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Gen. Gregory S. Martin for reappointment to the rank of general with assignment as commander, United States Pacific Command, Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii. Martin is currently serving as commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
