The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Michael A. Martinez, 29, of Juan Diaz, Puerto Rico, died Sept. 8 in Baqubah, Iraq, when his military vehicle rolled over. Martinez was assigned to the1st Battalion, 6th Field Artillery from Bamberg, Germany.
The incident is under investigation.
