General Officer Announcements

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated:

 

Air Force Reserve Brig. Gen. Mark W. Anderson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general while serving as mobilization assistant to the deputy chief of staff, Installations and Logistics, Headquarters United States Air Force, Washington, D.C.

 

Air Force Reserve Brig. Gen. John H. Bordelon, Jr., has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general while serving as mobilization assistant to the commander, 8th Air Force, Air Combat Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, La.

 

Air Force Reserve Brig. Gen. Thomas L. Carter has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general while serving as mobilization assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, Headquarters United States Air Force, Washington, D.C.

 

Air Force Reserve Brig. Gen. Dyches has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general while serving as assistant to the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, for Reserve Matters, Office of the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington, D.C.

 

Air Force Reserve Brig. Gen. Martin M. Mazick has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general while serving as director, Operations, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga.

 

Air Force Reserve Brig. Gen. Howard A. McMahan has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general while serving as mobilization assistant to the Surgeon General of the Air Force, Headquarters United States Air Force, Washington, D.C.

 

Air Force Reserve Brig. Gen. James M. Sluder III has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general while serving as mobilization assistant to the commander, United States Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. Roger A. Binder has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as vice commander, 10th Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command, Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. Robert L. Chu has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as mobilization assistant to the Assistant Surgeon General for Health Care Operations, Office of the Surgeon General of the Air Force, Headquarters United States Air Force, Bolling Air Force Base, D.C.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. David L. Commons has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as mobilization assistant to the commander, Air Force Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center, Deputy Chief of Staff, Warfighting Integration, Headquarters United States Air Force, Langley Air Force Base, Va.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. Thomas R. Coon has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as mobilization assistant to the director, Operational Plans and Joint Matters, Deputy Chief of Staff, Air and Space Operations, Headquarters United States Air Force, Washington, D.C.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. Bruce E. Davis has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as commander, 445th Airlift Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. Michael C. Dudzik has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as mobilization assistant to the commander, Space and Missile Systems Center, Air Force Space Command, El Segundo, Calif.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. Elizabeth A. Grote has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as director, Logistics, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. Kevin F. Henabray has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as mobilization assistant to the director, Plans and Programs, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. James F. Jackson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as mobilization assistant to the commander, Air Force Doctrine Center, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. Mike H. McClendon has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as mobilization assistant to the commander, Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. Brian P. Meenan has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as mobilization assistant to the director, Air and Space Operations, Headquarters United States Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. James L. Melin has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as commander, 434th Air Refueling Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, Grissom Air Reserve Base, Ind.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. Michael B. Newton has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as mobilization assistant to the commander, Ogden Air Logistics Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

 

Air Force Reserve Col. Carl M. Skinner has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general while serving as mobilization assistant to the Chief Information Officer, Headquarters United States Air Force, Washington, D.C.

 

Colonel Steven L. Bell, Army National Guard, for promotion to the grade of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Assistant Adjutant General, New Jersey Joint Force Headquarters, Trenton, New Jersey.
