Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Navy Rear Adm. Terrance T. Etnyre for appointment to the rank of vice admiral and assignment as Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego, Calif. Etnyre is currently serving as Commander, Naval Surface Force, U. S. Atlantic Fleet, Norfolk, Va.
