GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated General John H. Tilelli, Jr., United States Army, for reappointment
to the grade of general and assignment as Commander in Chief, United Nations
Command/Combined Forces Command/Commander, United States Forces Korea, Seoul,
Korea. Since June 1995, he has served as the Commanding General, United States
Army Forces Command, Fort McPherson, Ga.
General Tilelli was born on October 2, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
