DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

1st Lt. Adam Malson, 23, of Rochester Hills, Mich., died Feb. 19 in Baghdad, Iraq, from injuries sustained while on patrol when an improvised explosive device detonated. Malson was assigned to 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, Fort Drum, N.Y.
