GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that Lt. Gen. Howard D.Graves, United States Army, will be placed on the retired list in his currentgrade.
Graves will retire after completion of more than 34 years of service.Since July 1991, he has been serving as the superintendent, United StatesMilitary Academy, West Point, N.Y.
Graves was born on August 15, 1939, in Roaring Springs, Texas.
