GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President hasnominated Maj. Gen. John A. Gordon, United States Air Force, for appointment tothe grade of lieutenant general with assignment as associate director ofCentral Intelligence for Military Support, Central Intelligence Agency,Washington, DC.
Gordon is currently assigned as special assistant for LongRange Plans, Headquarters United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, DC.
Gordon was born Aug. 22, 1946, in Jefferson City, Mo.
