Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Navy Rear Adm. Ann E. Rondeau for appointment to the rank of vice admiral and assignment as director, Navy Staff, N09B, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Rondeau is currently serving as commander, Naval Personnel Development Command/special assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations for Task Force Excel, Norfolk, Va.
