General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Michael J. Diamond for appointment to the rank of major general. Diamond is currently serving as deputy to the director, J-4/7, U. S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.
