Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Kenneth J. Krieg today presented the best Small Business Program performance awards for fiscal 2004 during a ceremony held at the Pentagon.
Receiving awards for individual achievement in small business contracting were Elizabeth Bryant of Buckley Air Force Base, Colo., and Reinette Alecozay of the Air Education Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. Also recognized in this category was the entire Army Maneuver Ammunition Systems Team.
Other awardees were: Army and Defense Threat Reduction Agency for outstanding small disadvantaged business programs; Army and Defense Finance and Accounting Service for their HUBZone programs; and Defense Logistics Agency and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency were recognized for their women-owned small business efforts.
The Air Force and Defense Intelligence Agency received top honors as the overall outstanding small business programs.
