FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
the President has nominated Vice Admiral Donald L. Pilling, U.S.
Navy, for reappointment to the grade of vice admiral and
assignment as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, Resources,
Warfare Requirements and Assessments, N8, Office of the Chief of
Naval Operations in the Pentagon. Vice Admiral Pilling is
currently serving as Commander SIXTH Fleet/Commander Naval
Striking and Support Forces, Southern Europe in Gaeta, Italy.
Vice Admiral Pilling was born June 4, 1943 in New York, New
York.
