General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Army Col. Russell J. Czerw for appointment as the chief, U.S. Army Dental Corps, and appointment to the grade of major general. In accordance with provisions of Title 10, U.S.C., section 3039(b), an officer selected to serve as the chief, U.S. Army Dental Corps, who holds a regular grade lower than major general, will be appointed to the regular grade of major general. Col. Czerw is currently serving as commander, U.S. Army Dental Command, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
