Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Air Force Lt. Gen. William M. Fraser III has been nominated for reappointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as assistant to the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Fraser is currently serving as vice commander, Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va.
Air National Guard Maj. Gen. Craig R. McKinley has been nominated for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as director, Air National Guard, National Guard Bureau, Headquarters United States Air Force, Arlington, Va. McKinley is currently serving as assistant deputy chief of staff, Plans and Programs, Headquarters United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
