GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
the Secretary of the Air Force has recommended Lt. Gen. James F.
Record, United States Air Force, for advancement to the grade of
lieutenant general on the retired list. Record is currently
serving as commander, 12th Air Force, Air Combat Command;
commander, United States Southern Command Air Forces, United
States Southern Command; and Air Force component commander,
United States Strategic Command, Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz.
Record was born Sept. 6, 1938, in Forest, Ind.
