GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
he has approved Lt. Gen. Lawrence E. Boese, United States Air
Force, for advancement on the retired list in the grade of
lieutenant general. Boese is currently assigned as commander,
Alaskan Command, United States Pacific Command; commander, 11th
Air Force, Pacific Air Forces; and commander, Alaskan NORAD
Region, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska.
Boese was born June 11, 1943, in Nashville, Tenn.
