DoD Identifies Army Casualties

The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died in Baghdad, Iraq, on May 14, when an improvised explosive device detonated near their HMMWV during combat operations.  1st Battalion, 312th Training Support Battalion, 4th Brigade, 78th Division (Training Support) , Fort Bragg, N.C.

Killed were:

Chief Warrant Officer 4, John W. Engeman, 45, of East North Port, N.Y.

Master Sgt. Robert H. West, 37, of Elyria, Ohio
