Flag and General Officer Announcements
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Navy Vice Adm. Albert M. Calland III for reappointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as the deputy director for strategic operational planning, National Counterterrorism Center, Washington, D.C. Calland is currently serving as deputy director of Central Intelligence Agency, Washington, D.C.
Marine Corps Lt. Gen. James F. Amos for reappointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as the d eputy commandant for combat development and integration; commanding general, Marine Corps Combat Development Command; commander, U.S. Marine Forces Strategic Command; commanding general, Marine Corps National Capital Region Command; and commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces National Capital Region. Amos is currently serving as the commanding general, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. |
