Secretary of Defense Ash Carter and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Marine Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr. are traveling.
 
Deputy Secretary of Defense Bob Work hosts an honor cordon welcoming Colombia's Minister of Defense Luis Carlos Villegas at 9 a.m. EDT at the Pentagon River Entrance.  All journalists covering the cordon, including those with a Pentagon building pass, must obtain a wrist band from security screening.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass covering the honor cordon will be escorted from the base of the River Entrance Pedestrian Bridge only after security screening. Security screening will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m. EDT; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  All journalists wishing to cover the honor cordon, including those with a Pentagon building badge, must be in place no later than 8:45 a.m. EDT.  Please call 703-697-5131 with any questions.

Foreign journalists without a Pentagon building pass must plan on being escorted from the River Entrance Pedestrian Bridge only, or, if arriving at the Pentagon Metro Entrance Facility, must contact 703-697-5131 a minimum of one hour prior to your arrival.
