Q Will you extend the Stryker Brigade?

SEC. RUMSFELD: I'd rather let the announcement happen.

Q But you've made a decision.

SEC. RUMSFELD: I have. I've signed an order just within the last 30 minutes or 40 minutes.

Q How much of the brigade will be staying -- (off mike)?

SEC. RUMSFELD: The request was for up to 120 days for the entire brigade.

Q Thirty-nine hundred, approximately?

SEC. RUMSFELD: A little less, as I recall.

Q And this is what you think is needed to fortify Baghdad?

SEC. RUMSFELD: This is what General Casey recommended and what General Abizaid recommended and what I've approved.

Q Will there be additional troops going to Baghdad or into Iraq?

SEC. RUMSFELD: You know, you start using words like "additional," and it's hard. It depends on where you're (starting ?) –
