The Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) will host a ground- breaking ceremony Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. EST at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla.
The ground-breaking ceremony will mark the starting point of an estimated $14.97 million, two-year construction project to provide the institute a new campus with better facilities for students in the equal opportunity and equal employment profession.
Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness Bernard Rostker is scheduled to speak at the ground-breaking ceremony. Others scheduled to attend are: Assistant Secretary of Defense for Force Management Policy Alphonso Maldon Jr.; Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower Reserve Affairs Installations and Environment Ruby De Mesme; Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Equal Opportunity William E. Leftwich III; and 45th Space Wing Deputy Commander Air Force Col. Sameul R. Dick.
