Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen and Janet Langhart Cohen, his wife, will host a dinner in Los Angeles at 8 p.m., PST, on Thursday, Nov. 30, to honor Jack Valenti, president of the Motion Picture Association of America, for his efforts to encourage positive portrayal of the U.S. military through film and television.
The event, to be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills, Calif., is open to the media. Camera pre-set must be complete by 5:45 p.m. Guest arrivals begin at 6:15 p.m.
Event credentials are required for all working press representatives. Media with valid press credentials issued by the Los Angeles Police Dept. or a bona fide media organization may pick up credentials Wednesday, Nov. 29, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce at 7018 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, Calif. , (323) 469-8311.
Credentials also may be obtained just outside the Beverly Hilton Hotel at noon the day of the event, Thursday, Nov. 30.
