Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon will speak at the Georgia Youth Challenge Academy Graduation ceremony in at the Macon City Auditorium in Macon, Ga. at 6:30 p.m. EST on Sunday, Dec.17, 2000.
The Youth Challenge Academy, conducted by the Georgia National Guard, is a 22-week in-residence youth program, located at Forts Stewart and Gordon in Georgia, that assists at-risk teens, ages 16-18, to complete their education and have a second chance at success.
Earlier at 5 p.m., de Leon will receive an executive briefing on the Georgia National Guard Youth Challenge Program at the Symphony Restaurant, also in Macon.
Both events are open to the media.
