DoD Press Briefing Time Change
The Department of Defense press briefing for Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, will start at 2:30 p.m. (EST) at the Pentagon instead of its usual time of 1:30 p.m. This time change is due to the award ceremony scheduled at 1:30 p.m. for David O. Cooke, director of Administration and Management for DoD. Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen will present Cooke the President's Award for Distinguished Federal Civilian Service.
The Cooke award ceremony will be held in the Pentagon Auditorium, Room 5A1070, and is open for media coverage. The media point of contact is Glenn Flood, (703) 695-6294.
