There will be three briefings for the press today. All briefings will take place in the Pentagon Briefing Room, 2E781.
Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Franklin D. Kramer will brief on the NATO 50th Anniversary Summit at 1 p.m. (EDT).
At 2 p.m., Ken Bacon, assistant secretary of Defense for Public Affairs, and Air Force Maj. Gen. Charles F. Wald, vice director for Strategic Plans and Policy for the Joint Staff (J-5), will provide an operational update of U.S. participation in NATO Operation Allied Force.
Immediately following the Bacon-Wald briefing, Air Force Maj. Gen. Bruce Carlson, director of operational requirements for the Air Force's deputy chief of staff, Air and Space Operations, will present a briefing on stealth aircraft.
