Cohen Statement, Intelligence Assessment
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen will make a statement concerning the mistaken strike on the Chinese embassy in Belgrade at 3:30 p.m. (EDT) in the DoD Briefing Studio, Room 2E781. After the statement he will take questions from the media.
At 4 p.m., there will be a background briefing by senior intelligence officials in the DoD Briefing Studio to provide an update into the review of the incident.
The Operation Allied Force operational update and the special briefing on the Army's MLRS/ATACMS originally scheduled for 2 p.m. today are cancelled.
