Cohen will deliver remarks regarding the Department of Defense and the role it will have in the 21st Century as part of the 1999 Institute of Foreign Policy Analysis-Fletcher Conference at 12:40 p.m. EST, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at the Marriott Metro Center Hotel, Washington, D.C.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Henry H. Shelton, U.S. Army, will deliver his address during the conference dinner at 8:15 p.m. EST, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999.
Deputy Secretary of Defense John J, Hamre will address the conference at 12:40 p.m. EST, Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at the Marriott Metro Center Hotel, Washington, D.C.
Both Cohen's and Hamre's remarks will be carried on a live video/audio feed to the Pentagon Auditorium Room 5A1070 and on Channel 15 of the internal cable system.
The regularly scheduled Tuesday, Department of Defense briefing at 1:30 p.m. EST will be held at 2 p.m. EST.
