Representatives from four corporations and the state of Louisiana, all employers of members of the National Guard and Reserve, will be the special guests of honor during a ceremony in which they will receive Employer Support Freedom Awards, Thursday, Nov. 4, 10:30 a.m. EST in the Department of Defense Briefing Room, 2E781 at the Pentagon.
The awards are presented annually to civilian employers who have gone above and beyond the requirements of law in supporting their employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve. Making the presentations will be Charles L. Cragin, principal deputy assistant secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs, Air Force Gen. Joseph W. Ralston, vice chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff and Thomas C. Irwin, chairperson, National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
