Deputy Secretary of Defense John J. Hamre to address young Marines
Deputy Secretary of Defense John J. Hamre will make remarks to Young Marines at a volunteerism event to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, Jan. 19, 1998 at 10 a.m. (EST).
The event will be held in John Philip Sousa Hall at the Marine Barracks, 8th & I Streets, S. E., Washington, D. C.
The Young Marines program is an example of military and civilian volunteers making a difference in the lives of young people across the United States.
Through the program the military reaches out to youngsters to help create better citizens, particularly in academic and personal growth.
