The Department of Defense Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization will host a one day Mentor-Protg conference at the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, Fla. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998.
The conference will begin at 8:30 a.m. (EST) in Davis Hall, room 130, on the university campus located at 140 Seventh Ave. South, St. Petersburg.
The purpose of the conference is to encourage teaming as a way to develop business opportunities by matching small and disadvantaged businesses' product and service capabilities with major prime contractors and government agencies.
More than 50 small businesses in the St. Petersburg area and about 40 DoD major prime contractors are expected to be represented at the how-to seminar which will provide information and guidance on defense procurement and contracting procedures.
