Lt. Gen. Edward Baca, chief of the National Guard Bureau, announced an interactive demonstration of the Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS) to be held at the Senate Capitol, Room SC-5 on March 5, 1998 from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. (EST).
The RCAS is a comprehensive global computer system that supports the information and decision making needs of Army National Guard and Army Reserve staffs.
It is designed to facilitate the accomplishment of hundreds of day-to-day administrative tasks at the unit level and to speed up the mobilization process.
The demonstration is intended for members of Congress, military services and government agencies, and it is open to news media representatives.
