Deputy Secretary of Defense Speaks at Women's Memorial
Deputy Secretary of Defense John Hamre will make remarks at a ceremony marking the 50th Anniversary of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act of 1948 to be held at the Women's Memorial, Exhibit Gallery, Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va., at 5:50 p.m. (EDT), June 11.
The ceremony will include presentation of the "Senator Margaret Chase Smith Leadership Award" to former Secretary of Defense William Perry by First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. Mrs. Lee Perry will accept the award.
