Special Briefing by Deputy Secretary of Defense on the Defense Reform Initiative
Deputy Secretary of Defense John J. Hamre will hold a special press briefing on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 1:30 p.m. (EDT) in the Pentagon Briefing Studio, Room 2E781, to address the status of the Defense Reform Initiative. The DRI, a year old next month, is the Department of Defense pathway of continuous reform that applies key lessons from business to make the Department and the military Services more efficient and productive. This single-subject session will be in lieu of the regular Pentagon briefing.
