GENERAL SHELTON TRAVELS TO UK AND NATO
Gen. Henry H. Shelton, U.S. Army, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, departs Andrews Air Force Base, Md., today to attend meetings with his NATO counterparts in The United Kingdom before continuing on to meetings at NATO Headquarters next week.
On Monday, Nov 23, 1998, Shelton travels to Brussels, Belgium, where he will participate in the 131st meeting of the NATO Military Committee/Chiefs of Defense Staff Session. Topics of discussion, for the meetings which continue on Tuesday, will include security issues of the Alliance.
Shelton will return to Washington the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998.
