Secretary of Defense Trip to Irwin
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen will travel to the
U.S. Army National Training Center, Fort Irwin Calif., on March
17-18, 1997 to view training exercises conducted as part of the
Army's Advanced Warfighting Experiment.
At Fort Irwin, he will receive briefings on the Army's Force
XXI and view instrumented battle operations conducted by elements
of the 4th Infantry Division from Fort Hood, Texas.
Secretary Cohen will be accompanied on the trip by General
Dennis J. Reimer, chief of staff of the U.S. Army.
