Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen will address the
Western Hemisphere Symposium at 11:10 a.m. (EDT), Tuesday, April
15, 1997, in the Douglas Hallise conference room, Crowne Plaza
Hotel, 1601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, Fla.
The event is being
hosted by U.S. Southern Command and the National Defense
University.
Following his remarks, Secretary Cohen will hold a media
availability in the Bolton Room at 12:15 p.m.
The events are
open to media coverage.

The following day, the Secretary will travel to MacDill AFB,
Tampa, Fla., where he will make remarks and receive the Bull
Simons award for leadership during a 10th Anniversary ceremony at
10 a.m. at U.S. Special Operations Command Headquarters, 7701
Tampa Point Blvd.
Secretary Cohen will then hold a media
availability at 11 a.m. in the 6th Support Group auditorium,
Bldg. 54.

Later that day Secretary Cohen will travel to the Virginia
Military Institute in Lexington, Va., for remarks at the George C
Marshall Foundation ROTC Award Seminar.
