DoD Environmental Security Secretary to Announce Switch Recycled Paper
Under Secretary of Defense for Environmental Security Sherri
W. Goodman will announce the Department's switch to using all
recycled content copier paper in conjunction with Earth Day, on
Thursday, April 17, following the regularly scheduled DoD press
briefing at 2 p.m. in the DoD Briefing Studio, Rm. 2E781.
The Department of Defense uses 65 percent of all copier
paper within the federal government.
Using recycled paper
reduces consumption of water and electricity, saves trees and
helps protect air and water quality.
Secretary Goodman will be joined by the Federal
Environmental Executive, Fran McPoland, and GSA's Commissioner of
the Federal Supply Service Center, Frank Pugliese.
