Full Honors, Joint Press Conference Planned for Russian Defense Minister
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen will host a Full
Honors Arrival Ceremony to welcome Minister of Defense Igor
Rodionov, of the Russian Federation, to the Pentagon at 9 a.m.
(EDT), Tuesday, May 13, 1997.
Media covering the arrival ceremony must be at the River
Parade Field no later than 8:40 a.m. (EDT). Media interested in
audiovisual coverage of these events may contact Mr. Terry
Mitchell at (703) 695-0169.
Secretary Cohen and Minister Rodionov will also hold a joint
press conference at 11:30 a.m. (EDT) in the Pentagon Briefing
Studio, Room 2E781.
As a result of the joint press conference, the Tuesday
Pentagon Press Briefing, regularly scheduled for 1:30 p.m., will
be canceled.
