Honor Cordon for President of Georgia
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen will host an Honor Cordon to welcome President Eduard Shevardnadze, of Georgia, to the Pentagon at 10:15 a.m. (EDT), Thursday, July 17, 1997.
The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance.
Following the ceremony, Secretary Cohen and President Shevardnadze will sign a Cooperation in the Area of Prevention of Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction and Promotion of Defense and Military Relations agreement.
