Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to Meet with President of Georgia
Gen. John M. Shalikashvili, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will meet with Eduard A. Shevardnadze, president of Georgia, at 11:15 a.m.(EDT), Thursday, July 17, 1997 in the chairman's office. This follows a plenary meeting with the Secretary of Defense and an official signing ceremony of the Cooperative Threat Reduction Umbrella Agreement.
