DPMO Brief on Joint U.S./North Korean Recovery Operations
Alan Liotta, the deputy director of the Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office, will conduct a news briefing on the latest joint recovery operations between the United States and North Korea.
As a result of those operations, four sets of skeletal remains, believed to be those of American soldiers lost during the Korean War, have been repatriated to U.S. custody.
The briefing is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 8, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the DoD briefing room,
room 2E781, the Pentagon.
