           Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Environment, Safety and Occupational Health Alex Beehler will address the opening session at the 9^th Annual Joint Services Environmental Management Conference in San Antonio, Texas, Tuesday, Aug. 17.  Beeheler's remarks will follow opening comments by Stephen L. Johnson, deputy administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.  Edwin Pinero, acting Federal Environmental Executive in the executive office of the president, also is scheduled to speak during the session. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. CDT in the Lila Cockrell Theater of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and is open for press coverage.
