Judith Youngman, chair of the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services (DACOWITS), will brief the results of the DACOWITS Executive Committee July 13-27, 1997 visit to installations in the Western Pacific at 1:30 p.m.(EDT) on Wednesday, Oct. 22, in the Defense Department Briefing Room (2E781).
The executive committee visited military installations in Alaska, Korea, Japan, Okinawa, and Guam and met with more than 2,400 military personnel from all Services during more than 140 focus group sessions.
The report will be available to the media upon request after noon on Oct. 22, embargoed until 1:30 p.m. Oct. 22.
