STRATCOM COMMANDER MOSCOW BRIEFING
The Commander of the U.S. Strategic Command, Gen. Eugene E. Habiger, will talk about his recent visit to Moscow at 1:30 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1997 in the DoD Briefing Room, 2E781, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
This briefing will be in lieu of the regularly scheduled press briefing.
Russia's Ministry of Defense hosted Habiger as part of the continuing military-to-military contact program Oct. 22-28, 1997. The visit provided an opportunity for Habiger and his party to meet with senior leaders of the Ministry of Defense and the Strategic Rocket Forces as well as tour Russian facilities to foster a greater understanding between U.S. and Russian Stategic Forces.
