Secretary of Defense William J. Perry will address a symposium exploring the
question of "U.S. - Japan - People's Republic of China Tripartite Relations:
Foundations for a Stable Pacific Community?", at 1:15 p.m. EST, tomorrow, in
Room 155, Marshall Hall, Fort McNair, Washington, D.C. His topic will cover
U.S. security strategies for this region.
As a result, the Pentagon Press briefing, regularly scheduled on Tuesday for
1:30 p.m., will be delayed until 2:30 p.m.
The event is open to the media. Live audio of the speech will be aired on
