Secretary of Defense William Perry will officiate and speak at the change of
command ceremony for the United States Special Operations Command, MacDill Air
Force Base, Fla., Thursday, February 29 at 11:20 a.m. EST. Chairman of the
Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. John Shalikashvili will also make brief remarks at
the change of command ceremony where Gen. H. Hugh Shelton will take charge of
the command from retiring Gen. Wayne A. Downing.
