Multinational Experiment 4 , an international experiment held earlier this year following a two-year body of work involved approximately 800 participants from Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom, NATO and the United States. The three-week event ran simultaneously from 10 locations worldwide.
USJFCOM was the sponsor and overall lead for MNE4, while individual nations and coalition partners led the specific concepts and processes the experiment explored.
MNE 4 was designed to further explore concepts and supporting tools for the entire range of an effects-based approach to multinational operations within a coalition environment. The environment of the experiment included stability operations with increasing levels of violence and was designed to assist in the development of future processes, organizations and technologies at the operational level of command.
The experiment results are providing insights and recommendations which will allow nations to build stronger coalition teams, enhance interoperability, and improve processes.
