Secretary Perry to Recognize U.S. Strategic Command with the Hammer Award
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry will recognize the
United States Strategic Command's receiving the Hammer Award for
"cutting the red tape in Government." The ceremony will take
place in the Officers' Club Ballroom, Offutt AFB, Neb.,
Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1996, at 2:35 p.m. (CST). The event will be
open to media coverage.
There will be a media availability in the Officer's Club
Ballroom following the ceremony at 3:15 p.m. (CST). Attempts
will be made to pipe the activities back to the Pentagon.

Following the award event, Secretary Perry will travel to
the United States Space Command, Colorado Springs, Colo. to
